Tripadvisor reviews

star rating  Me and my boyfriend booked this excursion with Manos Going and it was our favourite day of our holiday. We met our guide at 9am and headed out to meet... read more the other Jeeps, my boyfriend getting to drive our own jeep which he loved! We all met at the first stop and then headed off into Bumpy Rhodes! 11 jeeps in total, with our guides taking photos for us, stopping for the most amazing views over the mountains. Dinner was so good at a little church (this stop doesn’t have any toilet facilities) only €11, which was very reasonable! Then the last leg of the safari takes you to a beach for a cool down, also a lovely little bar there too. Definitely take a hat, bottles of water, sun cream and swimwear!! There’s so much dust when going off road but it was so much fun, a perfect way to take in the views of Rhodes and all the little villages. We were dropped off at our hotel just after 5. Our guides, Lex and Dinos were so good, friendly and funny and really made the day go well :) Would recommend this tour for anyone that wants to see the sights! You can buy the photos which the guides take for €15 which are then emailed to you- we are awaiting ours!

star rating  After seeing all the ruins in Athens, thought this would be a nice diversion and it was. Great communication from owner Matteo when booking and follow-up. Picked up right... read more on time at the Rhodes port. We did not get on our way as soon as I would have liked...we had to make some stops to pick up people and then had to wait while all the (necessary) paperwork was done and passengers were shuffled around. We had a fairly large group - I think there were 8 or 10 vehicles in our caravan. Even though our vehicle started out as last in line, our leader made sure that many times during the day the vehicles all took turns changing the lead so sometimes we followed and sometimes we were in the lead. Made a stop midmorning for cool refreshments and to place our orders for lunch. Lunch, consisting of salad, bread, kabobs, and sodas, was served under an ancient olive tree in front of a 300+ yr old church and had been prepared by a local restaurant and brought to our location. I personally would have enjoyed stopping in some of the little towns or other sights along the way, rather than so much off roading, but all in all it was enjoyable and the views were fantastic. We stopped at a smooth rock beach at the end of the ride that was so nice and refreshing. Our stop there was for about an hour. Unfortunately, we got pretty nervous on the way back to our cruise ship - there was my husband, me and a family of 5 from Philadelphia (shout-out to Julia, Charlie & girls from Philly!!) that needed to get back to port to board our cruise ship, but there were some delays with moving vehicles around that took precious time. They got us to the port, just in time, but we had no time to visit Rhodes Town, which I would have enjoyed.
