What to do on Rhodes

Bumpy Rhodes Safaris started in 2000 with a simple passion: showing visitors the wild side of Rhodes.

Before creating the company, I worked as a tour guide for the Dutch travel company Escolette, guiding trips across Malta, Kos, Rhodes, Cyprus, Turkey, and Egypt. Wherever I worked, the jeep safari was always the highlight — and that experience inspired me to bring the same spirit of adventure to Rhodes.

Today, together with Cecile, Simos, and Dinos, we organise relaxed and adventurous safaris across both the north and south of the island.

Rhodes may be a small island, and most famous sights are easy to reach by rental car — that’s why we do things differently. Our focus is on driving through the island’s most beautiful natural landscapes, exploring places you wouldn’t normally find on your own.

We believe a safari should feel like a real day out: scenic drives, local atmosphere, and time to simply enjoy the surroundings.

Enjoy your tour,
Matteo

Simos

With us since 2018, Simos brings local knowledge, calm energy, and a great sense of humour to every tour. As one of our Greek team members, he loves sharing stories about the island and making guests feel at home.

Cecile

Cecile is one of our experienced guides and brings great energy to every safari.

She speaks English and French (with a lovely French accent), keeps the group organised, and makes sure everyone feels comfortable and safe.

Friendly and warm, but not afraid to be a little strict when needed — always with a touch of humor.

Dinos

A true Rhodian, Dinos has been guiding safaris for several years. He speaks fluent German and spends his winters in the Alps, returning to Rhodes each summer for the season. Friendly and gentle, he makes sure your day runs smoothly and you can simply enjoy the adventure.

Matteo

I’m a passionate traveler who loves spending time in nature with my kids. I’ve explored every route myself and enjoy showing guests the little extra things along the way — from orchids to lizards and cicadas — adding a touch of nature discovery that makes the experience even more special.
